Designing a cohesive brand identity that reflects purpose, personality, and consistency through thoughtful visuals and strategic creative direction.

About the Project

RDA's website serves as a key touchpoint for volunteers, participants, donors, and caregivers seeking information about its programmes and services. The project focused on redesigning the digital experience to make information easier to access, navigate, and understand.

By simplifying site structure and improving user journeys, the redesign aimed to create a more welcoming and accessible platform that better reflects RDA's mission of empowering individuals through equine-assisted activities.

Designing for Accessibility, Built for Community

The core objective was to reduce friction in how users discover information, sign up for programmes, and engage with the organisation. Through user research and content restructuring, the website was redesigned to support a wide range of users with varying needs and levels of familiarity with RDA.

Every design decision was guided by a simple principle: making meaningful information easier to find, understand, and act upon.

User-Centred Navigation

Research revealed that users often struggled to locate key information, particularly volunteer opportunities, programme details, and registration pathways. To address this, the website's information architecture was restructured into clearer categories and navigation flows.

Content was reorganised around users' goals, reducing the number of steps required to find information and making the overall experience more intuitive.

Improving Accessibility

As a community-focused organisation serving diverse audiences, accessibility became a key design consideration. The interface was simplified through clearer layouts, improved content hierarchy, and more prominent calls-to-action.

These changes helped users navigate the website with greater confidence while ensuring important information remained easy to discover and understand.

Streamlining Engagement

The previous website relied on external forms and fragmented user journeys, creating friction during sign-ups and enquiries. A new integrated sign-up experience was introduced to keep users within the platform and reduce drop-offs.

By creating a smoother path from discovery to action, the redesign strengthened RDA's ability to connect with volunteers, participants, and supporters.

Designing with Purpose

This project showcases how digital design can extend beyond screens to support meaningful causes. Working with RDA required balancing organisational goals with the needs of diverse users, ensuring every design decision delivered value to the community.

A Foundation for Future Growth

The redesign established a stronger digital foundation for RDA, creating opportunities for future improvements while reinforcing the organisation's mission through a more cohesive and thoughtful online presence.
